I. Our Philosophy: “Games are Fun” (But Hardware is Physics)

We believe gaming is the ultimate joyful escape, but that joy is built on a foundation of structural integrity. If a game’s mechanics are broken or a mouse’s chassis creaks like a soda cracker, the joy dies. Our mission is to audit the foundation so you can enjoy the house.

II. The “Soda Cracker” Standard

We do not use “Review Scores” (7/10 is for cowards). We use the Octavius Audit Grade:

• God Tier (5 Thumbs): Flawless. Mechanical perfection. A digital unicorn.
• Valid (3-4 Thumbs): Honest. Does what it says on the box. Worth your time.
• Soda Cracker (1-2 Thumbs): Structural failure. Flimsy design. Marketing hype masking a hollow product. ?

III. The Risk Assessment (The Anti-Flop Protocol)

Every Indie and Early Access review includes a Risk-to-Reward Metric. We audit:

1. The Paper Trail: Does the developer have a history of “abandonware”?
2. Feature Creep: Is a 5 person team promising a “Multiplayer Open World”? (⚠️ High Flop Risk).
3. Financial Transparency: Does the polish match the budget, or is it a “trailers only” illusion?

IV. Our Independence (Why We Throw Shade)

We do not sign restrictive NDAs that prevent us from speaking the truth. If a publisher demands a “positive only” outlook for an “Insider” invite, we decline. We work for the Player, not the Investor. If honesty burns a bridge, we’ll build a better one.
